Originally from Co. Derry in Northern Ireland, B studied at the Liverpool School of Art in the mid-1980s.  A career with letters and typography was cut short by the advent of the Apple Mac Classic, so newspapers and print became home to his design skills post Art College.

The dot com boom saw B produce some of the most used mass market digital products and alongside his art, he continues to design and build disruptive media to this day.

Politically active and aware, fatherhood and family took front of stage through the Millenia and having not lifted a pencil or brush in 'anger' for over 20 years, he re-engaged with canvas and paint prior to the pandemic - for pleasure and escape rather than a professional pursuit.

Today, he resides in the Yorkshire Dales - taking inspiration from his long left homeland coast as well as the landscape around him, in amongst the wider world turmoil.  While not secretive, he shuns the spotlight and prefers for others to view, enjoy and critique his work.
